As part of our mission to honor and safeguard the world's waters, we collaborate with organizations already working on the frontlines of water protection, from policy change to global advocacy. By mobilizing our community of Water Stewards, we aim to amplify these efforts and help turn public voice into meaningful action. Together, we protect what connects us all.

The Ratification of the High Seas Treaty
What is it?
The ocean is a shared space that belongs to everyone, but no one is in charge of keeping it clean and safe. To protect this shared space, countries around the world created the High Seas Treaty. It's like a big agreement where nations promise to work together to take care of the ocean. This includes setting up special protected areas, checking how activities like fishing or mining might harm the ocean, and sharing ocean discoveries fairly.
But for this treaty to actually start working, each country needs to ratify it. That means their leaders must officially agree to follow the rules of the treaty. Once enough countries do this, the treaty becomes active, and they can start making the ocean a safer place for all the creatures living there, and for us too!
So, the High Seas Treaty is like a global promise to protect our ocean playground, ensuring it's healthy and full of life for generations to come.
How does Water Whisperer support this?
At Water Whisperer, protection isn’t just a pillar, it’s a promise. That’s why we proudly support the High Seas Alliance and their global mission to protect the ocean beyond national borders through the High Seas Treaty.
As part of this effort, we’re partnering with Regeneration Surf to rally both the Surfing Community and our own Water Steward Community to take action.
Together, we seek to turn every Motivated Surfer and Water Steward into ocean protection ambassadors, to help share the message around the world!
